FÉ E RELIGIOSIDADE AMAZÔNICA: A PRESENÇA DO PROFANO NA FESTA DE CORPUS CHRISTI EM CAPANEMA-PA

Resumo

Esta pesquisa orienta-se, fundamentalmente, para a região Amazônica. A cultura religiosa da cidade de Capanema, nordeste do Pará, será objeto de estudo cujo foco é a procissão de Corpus Christi no interior da qual o aparato artístico já tem uma história de 40 anos na cidade. Essa festa adquiriu, ao longo dos anos, certos traços que a tornam diferenciada das demais procissões realizadas na região, como é o caso da presença de elementos não religiosos nas imagens dos tapetes da procissão. São estes fatores intrigantes que a pesquisa procurará em seu transcurso esmiuçar, no âmbito de seu renome, mormente porque obteve reconhecimento e notoriedade no ano de 2011, quando foi sancionada a Lei n° 7.518, mediante a qual a festa de Corpus Christi da cidade de Capanema é reconhecida como patrimônio histórico e cultural de natureza imaterial para o Estado do Pará. Portanto, faz-se necessário compreender como, no interior da Amazônia, emergem elementos culturais religiosos distintos (sagrado e o profano) que refletem a realidade cotidiana vivida por caboclos, ribeirinhos e mestiços.

FAITH AND AMAZON RELIGIOSITY: THE PRESENCE OF THE PROFESSOR AT THE CORPUS CHRISTI FESTIVAL IN CAPANEMA-PA

This research is oriented mainly to the Amazon region. The religious culture of the city of Capanema, northeast of Pará, will be object of study whose focus is the procession of Corpus Christi within which the artistic apparatus already has a 40 year history in the city. This party acquired over the years, certain features which make it different from the other processions carried out in the region as is the case with presence of non religious elements in the images of carpets procession. These are intriguing factors that research will seek in its course scrutinize, under its renowned, especially because gained recognition and notoriety in 2011, when it was sanctioned Law No. 7,518, by which the feast of Corpus Christi City Capanema is recognized as historical and cultural heritage of intangible nature to the state of Pará. Therefore, it is necessary to understand how, within the Amazon emerge distinct religious cultural elements (sacred and profane) that reflect the daily reality experienced by caboclos (when there is joint between Indian and withe people) riverine and mestizos.
